Once the library of San Diego’s Naval Training Center, VESPER has traded bookshelves for something far more unexpected: more than 7,000 square feet of soaring, sun-filled event space. Vaulted ceilings and exposed wooden beams stretch above warm wood floors and crisp white walls, while tall windows flood the main hall with natural light.
But the beauty of VESPER is how easily all that history adapts to what happens next. Guests can move from the outdoor patio through the foyer and into the expansive main hall, giving planners distinct settings for arrivals, cocktails, presentations, dinner, dancing, or an entirely different experience of their own. With room for up to 400 seated or 750 cocktail-style, the space can feel polished and intimate one night and completely transformed the next.

VESPER can accommodate up to 500 guests for a seated event or up to 1100 for a cocktail-style gathering. With more than 10,000 square feet spanning the main hall, foyer, and outdoor patio, the venue gives you flexibility to create different experiences throughout your event.
Absolutely. VESPER is designed so guests can move naturally from the scenic outdoor patio through the entry foyer and into the main hall, making it easy to create distinct spaces for arrivals, cocktail hours, networking, dining, presentations, or dancing.
VESPER is built for far more than one kind of gathering. The flexible hall works beautifully for corporate events, galas, trade shows, conferences, weddings, receptions, and private celebrations, with room to tailor the layout around the experience you’re creating.
VESPER offers flexibility with many event vendors, allowing you to work with insured professionals outside its recommended network. Catering and bar service have additional requirements, so the venue team can walk you through the current approved options when you begin planning.
Bar service is provided through Snake Oil Cocktail Company, with beverage options that can be tailored to the style, size, and flow of your event.
VESPER includes the setup and teardown of its standard venue inventory, including round and banquet tables, white resin chairs, cocktail tables, a portable bar, podiums, and Bose ceiling speakers with microphones. Additional rentals and production elements can also be added depending on your event.
Yes. A furnished private suite gives hosts, speakers, performers, or members of your event party a comfortable space to prepare or step away before and during the event.
Yes. Bose ceiling speakers and microphones are included with the venue inventory. Additional production options, including projector and screen rentals and staging, may also be available for presentations, conferences, performances, and larger productions.
Yes. Liberty Station offers multiple self-parking lots near VESPER, making arrival straightforward for larger guest counts. The venue’s current public FAQ describes parking as free and self-park.
